Signshop Amsterdam, located at Jan Hanzenstraat 26 in Amsterdam, is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy policy.

Personal data that we process
Signshop Amsterdam processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you have provided us with this information. A list of the types of personal data we process follows below:

Special and/or sensitive personal data that we process

Our website and/or services are not designed to collect data on website visitors under the age of 16 unless they have permission to allow this from their parents or guardians. We cannot however check to verify if a visitor is over the age of 16. We recommend that parents monitor their children’s online activities to prevent the collection of data on children without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected a minor’s personal data without permission, please contact us via mail@signshop.amsterdam and we will delete this information.


Other personal data that we process
We also store photos and other files for work that we have carried out for you. This is part of our portfolio and will be stored permanently. If you have a valid reason for not wanting us to store this information, please contact us via mail@signshop.amsterdam. We will discuss with you what may and may not be stored.


Objective and reasons we process personal data
Signshop Amsterdam processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To be able to contact you by phone or email you if necessary for the performance of our services;
  • To deliver products or services to you;
  • To process your payments;
  • Signshop Amsterdam also processes personal data that we are obliged to process by law, such as data that we need for our tax returns.


Automated decision-making
Signshop Amsterdam does not take decisions based on automated processing that could have (considerable) consequences for people. This involves decisions taken by computer software or systems without human intervention (a Signshop Amsterdam employee, for example).


How long we store data

Sharing personal data with third parties
Signshop Amsterdam will not sell your data to third parties and will only supply this data if it is necessary for the fulfilment of an agreement with you or to satisfy a legal obligation. We conclude a processing agreement with companies processing your data on our instructions to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality for your data. Signshop Amsterdam remains responsible for these processing activities.

Signshop Amsterdam doesn’t use cookies or similar technology.


Inspecting, modifying and deleting data
You have the right to inspect, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to rescind any permission you have given for the processing of data or to object to the processing of your personal data by Signshop Amsterdam and you also have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request asking us to send you the personal data we have stored for you in a computer file or to another organisation designated by you for this purpose. You can send a request to inspect, correct, delete or transfer your personal data, or a request to withdraw your permission or an objection to the processing of your personal data to mail@signshop.amsterdam. In order to be certain that the request for inspection was submitted by you, we will ask you to send us a copy of your proof of identification with this request. Be sure to black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of your passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN) in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as soon as possible, and no later than four weeks after we receive your request. Signshop Amsterdam would also like to make you aware of your option to submit a complaint to the national supervisory authority, the Data Protection Authority. Signshop Amsterdam takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent any misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised changes to this data.
